This single origin, nano lot Bourbon, Bonito Coffee Roaster’s latest offering, won’t be around forever. The coffee comes from a single producer, Siddhartha Mosses, a friend of Bonito’s own Carlos Ramirez, and it is grown in a very specific sector of Apaneca in western El Salvador. As such, it is extremely limited in supply. This lack of quantity, however, is what allows for exceptional quality.
This nano lot Bourbon is not simply a smaller version of a micro-lot coffee. The nano lot designation indicates even more careful stewardship of the coffee plants, meticulous sorting of the coffee cherries, and results in an exceptionally clean cup. You will find notes of chocolate and almond shining through on the front palate while a warming hint of baking spices leaves a pleasant note of cinnamon on the finish.
